Our Values

This week we have all been repulsed by the horror of the Manchester attack.

We know that there are no inherent tensions between being Muslim and being a Briton, between following faith and the values of tolerance, justice, equality, civil liberties and the rule of law. Extremists want Muslims not to feel at home here. The spirit of our communities mean they will not succeed.

Prevent is one strand of the Government's Counter Terrorist strategy. It uses Channel, a one to one anti-radicalisation process, using a team of psychologists, social workers and religious experts, to counsel thousands of people considered vulnerable to extremist ideas.

Pharmacy staff have a valuable part to play, being so close to their communities they are well placed to notice those who becoming less engaged.
