Responsible to: Head of Professional Development
Department: Professional Development Team
Main purpose of job: To assist with the delivery of training programme for pharmacists and pre-registration pharmacists including pre-registration programmes, Heathy Living Pharmacy, and vaccination training.
Duties include:

  • Delivery of pre-registration workshops at locations based in the North and North-West
  • Delivery of professional development training workshops at locations based in the Midlands and North
  • Assisting with the development and review of training materials.
  • Providing telephone and email support to learners
  • Providing webinars and tutorials to learners
  • Completing CPD in order to maintain personal development
  • Contributing to routine standardisation reviews/procedures
  • Maintaining records, filing systems and computer files
  • Mailbox management
  • Providing feedback to and liaison with clients
  • Representation with external stakeholders
  • Assisting other teams within the business as necessary
  • Undertaking any other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required

These are the key duties and responsibilities for the post and they are subject to regular review. Any significant changes to the role will be subject to consultation

Role
The role requires the delivery of training and workshops to the North and North West of England,
in addition to regular attendance at our office in Nottingham. Core hours will be Tuesday to Friday but
the position requires flexibility so evening and weekend working may be required to support the delivery of workshops. A valid driving licence is desirable.

Relevant Skills and Experience
Buttercups Training are seeking to appoint a GPhC registered pharmacist with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a pharmacist.
The successful candidate will also be able to evidence their involvement in supporting training and education, alongside their
professional skills. Applicants must be IT literate, competent using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as being
able to work both independently and as a part of a multi-skilled team.

Your specialist knowledge as a pharmacist, enthusiastic manner, and, ability to present
and teach will be an essential requirement. Experience delivering First Aid, Flu or Travel vaccination
services is desirable. A formal teaching qualification is not required and full training will be provided as part
of the induction process, but applicants are also advised that a positive, can-do attitude is an essential part of
organisational culture at Buttercups Training.

Salaries and benefits
The starting salary is competitive, depending on experience, comparable with NHS Band 6/7. Holiday entitlement is 20 days per annum plus bank holidays.
The successful candidate will be offered a contract totalling 30 hours per week although some flexibility is required due to the nature of the role.

Department: Professional Services
Main purpose of job: To perform general administrative duties in the Professional Services Team and associated departments as required.
Duties include:

  • Answering general enquiries by telephone
  • Sorting and opening post
  • Writing and dispatching routine, standardised letters
  • Assessing multiple choice question homework
  • Data entry to and maintenance of student records
  • Photocopying, archiving and scanning documents
  • Obtaining information from the computer
  • Creating and maintaining MS Excel spreadsheets
  • Maintaining records, filing systems and computer files
  • Mailbox management
  • Assisting Professional Services Team Leader as necessary
  • Undertaking any other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required.

Role
As Professional Services Assistant you will be expected to act as part of the Professional Services Team and as such your job will involve you in supporting other members of the team, whilst managing your own workload, to ensure that team objectives are met on a day to day basis. Your job is to complete administrative duties assigned to the Professional Services Team and willingly assist associated departments with their excess workload as required.

Relevant Skills and Experience
Buttercups Training are looking to appoint an experienced administrator or a candidate with relevant work experience in an office-based environment and strong organisational skills. Applicants must be IT literate, be competent using Microsoft Word and Excel, and be able to work both independently and as a part of a multi-skilled team. Knowledge of the Pharmacy, Education and Training Sector is not required as full training will be provided as part of the induction process but applicants are advised that a positive, can-do attitude is an essential part of organisational culture at Buttercups Training.

Salaries and benefits
The starting salary is competitive, depending on experience. Holiday entitlement is 4 weeks per annum plus bank holidays. The successful candidate will be offered a contract totalling 37 hours per week working set hours between 9am and 6pm.
