Buttercups Transition to Digital Certificates
Buttercups Training has historically issued physical certificates when learners complete their training programmes with us. Certificates are issued for all of our GPhC accredited courses and programmes, and confirm that the learner has met the minimum training requirements of the GPhC for the associated National Occupational Standards.
From Monday 30th June we are initiating our transition to digital certification of any courses awarded by Buttercups.
This transition will support our aims to reduce our carbon emissions, eliminating the environmental impact of printing and despatching physical certificates, and provide a reduced administrative function across both our own team and our clients.
Our new digital certificates will replicate the physical certificates currently issued to learners and contain all the relevant learner and course information you would expect to see.
We’re thrilled to move forward on this journey to a more sustainable and efficient process of certification. Answers to frequently asked questions can be found below, and we encourage our learners and clients to get in touch if they have any additional questions, queries or concerns about the transition to digital certificates.
How will learners receive their digital certificates?
Digital certificates will be accessible to learners via Accredible, which is the world's leading digital credential platform. This allows learners to easily access, save, and share copies of their Buttercups certificates on demand.
At the point of course completion, learners will receive confirmation from the Buttercups team (certificates@buttercups.co.uk) directly via email to the address linked to their b-Hive account. This email will confirm completion of their respective course, along with a link to securely access their certificate via the Accredible website.
For the learner, this means a much quicker receipt of their certificate of completion and the ability to self-print a copy of the certificate, where a physical copy is desired.
What will happen with certificate which aren’t awarded by Buttercups?
Certificates which are issued by external awarding bodies will continue to be provided as physical copies and distributed as per our existing processes.
Do I need to do anything now?
No action is required from learners or employers during this transition. All learners currently completing courses with us in scope for the change to digital certificates will be notified via their b-Hive account.
