How to Sign Your Enrolment Form
The information below explains how you can digitally sign your enrolment form for your Buttercups Training course.
Please do not use the Firefox browser, as it is not compatible with digital signing.
Ensure that you are using latest version of your browser
Mac (Preview - no download needed)
Open the PDF — it should open automatically in Preview.
Fill in your fields by clicking and typing.
Click the markup icon (pencil in a circle) in the toolbar, then the signature icon (squiggle).
Create your signature by drawing on the trackpad or typing your name, then place it in your signature field.
Save: Cmd + S, then Save As with a clear filename.
Windows (Microsoft Edge — built in)
Right-click the PDF and choose Open with Microsoft Edge.
Fill in your fields by clicking and typing.
Use the Draw tool to sign in your signature field.
Save As with a clear filename before sending.
Windows tip: If Edge doesn’t show form fields correctly, download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader from get.adobe.com/reader.
Windows (Chrome — built in)
Right-click the PDF and choose Open with → Chrome
Fill in your fields by clicking and typing.
Use the Draw tool (located next to the rotate tool) to sign in your signature field.
Save As with a clear filename before sending
iPhone or iPad (built in)
Open the PDF from your email or Files app.
Tap the Markup icon (pen at the top), then + and choose Signature.
Draw your signature with your finger and place it in your field.
Tap Done and send the actual file, not a screenshot.
Android (free Adobe Acrobat app)
Download Adobe Acrobat free from the Play Store if needed.
Open the PDF, tap Fill & Sign,
Passing the Form On
Learners: once signed, send your saved file to your workplace supervisor/employer.
Employers: check the learner’s details are present, add your signature, then follow your internal process for sending us your Learner enrolment forms.
