Course overview

In April 2025, NHS England released the core programme content for the national Foundation Trainee Pharmacist Programme. In response, Buttercups has developed a training course to equip MPharm graduates starting their foundation year with the essential knowledge, skills and behaviours required to succeed and progress into pharmacy practice.

• Setting you up for success: we'll introduce you to the Foundation Training Year and the Buttercups Trainee Pharmacist Programme

• Pharmacy fundamentals: develop your essential pharmacy knowledge and capabilities

• Calculations: enhance precision and refine your calculation techniques

• Exam preparation: prepare to have your knowledge stretched and challenged with 100s of timed, online questions, plus supporting answers, rationale and resources

• Preparing for practice: develop your skills in professionalism, management, leadership and resilience, shaping a strong foundation for your future career

• Designated supervisor support: an exceptional training year relies not only on a well-structured training programme but on designated supervisors who are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of pharmacists. We offer a complementary Designated Supervisor Support Programme to all supervisors involved in foundation training
