If you're a pharmacist or pharmacy technician working in a care home setting who's looking to deliver medicines management training to staff, this course will provide you with the skills you need.

You'll equip learners with the knowledge and confidence to administer medicines safely, follow the correct procedures and understand the legal requirements that apply when handing drugs.

Who is the course for?

The course is designed for pharmacists or pharmacy technicians employed in a care home environment whose role involves delivering training in medicines administration to staff.

How the course is delivered

The resource for trainers consists of a tutorial for the trainer, presentation for use with care staff, comprehensive workbook, assessment methods and course materials for care staff.

We provide an online resource pack for trainers, which consists of:

• A tutor guide

• A presentation aid (PowerPoint)

• Access to online resources and updates

• Learner workbook

Buttercups will manage the registration, assessment and issuing of certificates to care home staff who successfully complete the course.

Assessment for learners is via multiple choice and short answer questions which can be completed online. They will receive a certificate once they have passed the questions.
