Level 3 – Pharmacy Technician
Level 3 programmes support progression into a registered Pharmacy Technician role. This level builds on the knowledge and skills gained at Level 2 and prepares learners for increased responsibility within the pharmacy team.
About the Pharmacy Technician role
Pharmacy Technicians work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals and may be involved in:
Advising patients on the use of medicines
Supporting the management of symptoms and side effects
Assisting in the preparation and delivery of advanced services
Supporting and mentoring pharmacy support staff
Level 3 courses
Level 3 programmes support progression into a registered Pharmacy Technician role, building on Level 2 knowledge and experience.

On completion, Pharmacy Technicians may progress to:
Level 4 enhanced practice programmes
Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) training
