Buttercups Supports Community Pharmacies to Access NHS Funding
NHS England is offering a financial training contribution as part of their Community Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Programme. They are accepting applications to apply for £30,106 per pre-registration trainee pharmacy technician (PTPT), which is split into two payments of £15,053 per year for two years.
The funding is being offered to support sites in developing an employer-led, work-based training programme which meets the GPhC initial education and training (IET) standards for pharmacy technicians and the Health Education England (HEE) quality framework.
There are 525 places available in total (75 places per NHS England region) with a maximum of 2 places available for each community pharmacy organisations with multiple sites. The Buttercups Pharmacy Technician Training Programme (Apprenticeship Pathway) is an eligible programme for pharmacies to receive this funding.

Applications are submitted through an online Expression of Interest Form, which must be submitted by 23:59 on Sunday 15th June 2025
