Level 2 – Pharmacy Support Programmes
Level 2 programmes provide the foundation for working in pharmacy and healthcare environments. These courses meet mandatory regulatory training requirements and support the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services.
Level 2 training is suitable for individuals who are new to pharmacy, working in support roles, or looking to formalise existing knowledge and experience.
Level 2 pathways
Level 2 courses may be completed as part of an apprenticeship or as stand‑alone programmes, depending on role and employer requirements. They also offer alternative routes alongside the Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant (PSA) apprenticeship standard.
The diagram below shows the options for GPhC accredited courses that can be completed as an alternative to the level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant (PSA) apprenticeship standard. Click on the courses below for further information.
